This beautiful city became a major development after oil was found laying beneath the surface. The city was officially incorporated in 1866. Highway 101 is also known as the Ventura Freeway and is the main road connecting Los Angeles with the city. Finding a place to park is usually very easy and if you like the beach, look no further than Ventura's majestic coast line and Ventura Harbor.

If you want a little more arts and culture with your One Tank Trip, check out Ventura's Downtown. The famous Majestic Ventura Theater is an early 20th-century landmark.
