Bigfoot. For years he’s roamed the countryside evading hunters and existing only in our collective imagination. I decided it was time to find him.
This mission proved to be a little more complicated than it sounds. To find Bigfoot, one needs to first do a little bit of research. Preparation is key, so I came up with a few ideas that will help you make the most of Bigfoot hunting in hopes of at least sighting one.
First is to equip yourself with the right stuff to survive the outdoors. Assuming that this is a weekend trip to the middle of nowhere, it’s good to bring a back pack filled with the necessary items to survive a couple days. Bring a tent, sleeping bag, food, water, beer, Fireball, Snickers, etc.
Second, you need to dress for the hunt. One would think to go to your nearest Army Surplus store and cover yourself in camo. But actually you should just wear an old T-shirt and pants that you don’t mind getting dirty. Use your natural surroundings like mud and leaves to cover yourself. That way Bigfoot is less likely to see or smell you and run away.

Thirdly is to equip you with self-defense in case you do encounter Bigfoot and it becomes aggressive. Make sure to use non-lethal means. You don’t want to kill the only Bigfoot left in existence. I’d recommend at least getting pepper spray. This is Bigfoot, so you definitely need the big time bear pepper spray. The spray works up to 15 feet from you and can slow down a grizzly bear so I’d trust it against Bigfoot.
These tips will hopefully prepare you for your Bigfoot hunting trip. Remember, it’s never a good idea to go into the woods alone so make sure you bring a few buddies. It will make the camping/hunting much more fun! Good luck!
